VIDEO: Man Arrested In Queens Killing Of 15 Year Old Confronted By Family Members
"How dare you do that to my nephew," shouted an outraged aunt of the 15 year old child who was killed at a Queens playground last week, staring down the alleged killer as he was led out of the 113th precinct.
Earlier this morning police arrested Zahir Davis, 18, in connection with the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Jaden Pierre.
"NYPD detectives assigned to the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force have arrested Zahir Davis for the senseless murder of 15-year-old Jaden Pierre in a park in Queens last week fled to Jamaica following the shooting and was arrested immediately when he landed back in NYC last night" said NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch Davis on X this morning.
The shooter, himself a young teenager, was hauled out of the precinct arm in arm with detectives sporting a lower haircut, removing the dreadlocks that was shown on wanted posters following his arrest.
Authorities allege the suspect fled the country shortly after the shooting, traveling to Jamaica. He was apprehended upon his return to New York at JFK Airport and is now facing a murder charge.
The investigation remains ongoing.
