Kendrick Lamar Removes ‘Not Like Us’ From YouTube as Drake’s 'Iceman' Inches Closer To Release
The internet hit panic mode Monday after multiple videos from Kendrick Lamar suddenly disappeared from YouTube K Dot's smash hit “Not Like Us” and “Luther” visuals. The dreaded “removed by uploader” message displayed in place of the music videos, instantly sparked theories pointing the finger towards the never-ending Kendrick vs. Drake saga.
The removals came at the same time reports surfaced that Kendrick’s GNX album, “euphoria” and the record breaking SZA assisted single "Luther" had also temporarily vanished from platforms including in addition Apple Music, TIDAL, and Amazon Music. Spotify, however, still appeared to have the project live.
What made the situation even louder online was the timing. The disappearance happened just days before Drake is expected to release his upcoming Iceman project. Reddit threads and social posts exploded with conspiracy theories, with some users convinced a surprise drop was imminent while others believed the videos were hacked or caught in backend licensing issues.
By later in the day, reports indicated several of the removed videos had already been reuploaded to YouTube, though some uploads appeared to have reset view counts and disrupted links that fans had been sharing for months.
Neither Kendrick Lamar nor pgLang had publicly explained the removals as of Monday evening. But one thing is clear: when Kendrick deletes something, the culture immediately assumes it means something bigger is loading.
