"Boys 4 Life" Tour Takes Over Atlanta as Waka Flocka Shuts Down Gucci Mane Rumor
The “Boys 4 Life” tour stop at State Farm Arena wasn’t just another nostalgia run. It felt like a homecoming for Georgia native Bow Wow. From the moment Bow touched the stage it was clear this wasn’t bigger than the average tour stop more so a victory lap.
In front of packed audience Bow Wow was honored during the show for performing at State Farm Arena a historical 11 times, a milestone that comes full circle in the city raised him into a global star.
B2K kept the energy high, tapping straight into early-2000s nostalgia, while the crowd (yes, fully grown now but still ready) knew every word like it was 2004 again.
Another Atlanta native Waka Flocka ignited the crowd with a string of hits that included the thunderous street anthem "Hard in Da Paint," that references a shout out to Gucci Mane with reports running rampant following the show that Waka updated the verse live sending shots at his one time 1017 Records lablemate. Following the performance DJ Whoo Kid, Waka's tour DJ, poked run at the reports with Waka himself weighing in dismissing the allegations.
The moment of the night came when Big Meech stepped onto the stage, instantly shifting the energy in the building. Marking his first return to Atlanta since his release, the speakers were blasting Rick Ross' ode to Meech, "B.M.F.," one of Atlanta's most notorious figures fully cemented his homecoming on a night to remember.
Even with standout guest performances from Trey Songz, Jermaine Dupri, Crime Mob, Icewear Mezzo and more, the energy felt bigger than a concert, more like a another legendary night in Atlanta.
