Jay-Z Returns to Yankee Stadium for Historic “Reasonable Doubt” and “Blueprint” Anniversary Shows
Hip-hop is heading back to the Bronx in a major way.
Jay-Z has officially announced a pair of blockbuster concerts at Yankee Stadium this summer, two nights dedicated to the albums that helped define not just his career, but the sound of modern rap.
According to reports, the shows will celebrate the anniversaries of his debut album Reasonable Doubt and his landmark project The Blueprint, bringing fans into a live experience built around two of the most influential bodies of work in hip-hop history .
The concerts are set for back-to-back nights in July, with one evening honoring Reasonable Doubt’s 30-year milestone and the other marking 25 years of The Blueprint.
The announcement also builds on Jay-Z’s recent return to the stage at Roots Picnic, where he delivered a rare, high-energy performance that reminded fans—and the industry—he can still command a crowd at the highest level.
Before Jay-Z prepares to return to Yankee Stadium this summer, it’s worth remembering the last time he turned the Bronx into hip-hop’s biggest arena, alongside Eminem.
Back in 2010, the two icons joined forces for the now-legendary “Home & Home Tour,” a four-date run that included two sold-out nights at Yankee Stadium and two in Detroit.
